PUER: The secret weapon against grey towels, dull t-shirts, and stains that "just won't come out"

Towels lose their fresh brightness over time, white shirts suddenly look grey, and some stains act as if they’re here to stay. And the most annoying part: You wash and wash – but it still doesn't look properly clean.

This is exactly where PUER comes into play – an unassuming helper that refreshes textiles, releases dirt from the fibers, and even removes deposits from places where you’d rather not have to scrub.

What is PUER – and what can it do?

PUER is a practical eco-cleaning and laundry booster that you use whenever regular detergent alone is no longer enough.

PUER is ideal if you want to:

  • brighten yellowed or greying laundry (towels, T-shirts, bed linen)
  • remove stubborn stains that regular laundry gel can't handle
  • get rid of mustiness and "dullness" in textiles (common with towels)
  • tackle deposits in the bathroom & toilet (yes, even there!)

In short: PUER isn't "just" an additive – it helps where residues and layers of dirt settle, causing laundry to lose its freshness despite being washed.

If you want "really clean," PUER is a game changer

How PUER works (and why it is so effective)

Grey or "dull" laundry is often caused not by a single problem, but by a mix of:

  • residues from detergent & fabric softener
  • minerals from hard water
  • grease, skin particles, and everyday dirt

PUER helps to dissolve and remove these residues – afterwards, your laundry doesn't just look "washed," but truly clean and fresh.

Brightening grey towels: The top tip that really works

This is my favorite trick – especially for towels that are no longer bright or smell "old."

Towels in the bathtub + hot treatment

  • Place towels in the bathtub (or a large container).
  • PUER sprinkle over them.
  • Pour water above 60 °C over them (the hotter, the better – if the material can handle it).

Let it soak

This step is great because PUER starts working before the wash cycle, loosening the "grey layer" from the fibers.

Then wash at 60 °C – and add PUER again

  • Put towels in the washing machine.
  • Set the program to 60 °C.
  • PUER + laundry gel add again.

Result: Towels often look significantly brighter, fresher and frequently regain better absorbency.

T-shirts & normal laundry: How to bring back the freshness

Typical problem areas for T-shirts are:

  • underarm areas
  • greying of white laundry
  • collars & cuffs
  • stains that have "been there forever"

How to proceed:

  • For white laundry: PUER directly into the machine with your laundry gel.
  • For problem areas: soak briefly (warm/hot – depending on care label), then wash.

Tip: For delicate colors or materials, it's best to test on an inconspicuous area first (e.g., inner seam).

Bonus: PUER in the toilet – deposits without scrubbing

This is one of those tips that you try once – and never want to miss again.

How to do it:

  • PUER into the toilet bowl (especially where deposits are).
  • Pour hot water over it.
  • Let it soak.

And the best part: Often you don't even need to scrub – just flush after a short while, and you're done.
